GO to the Park!!
National Kids to Parks Day is May 18
Article Body
To spotlight the importance of outdoor activity, the American Academy of
Pediatrics (AAP) is a partner in National Kids to Parks Day on May 18,
a campaign from the National Park Trust (NPT).
The purpose of the day is to mobilize children across the country to have an
American park experience by visiting a national, state or local park and play
outdoors on May 18, 2013. Thousands of children already have committed to visit
a national, state or local park on May 18 by signing up at www.kidstoparks.org. The site includes
resources for families for healthy, outdoor living. Kids are also encouraged to
participate in social media around the event.
For more information about National Kids to Parks Day, visit www.kidstoparks.org
Get out there and have some fun and let us know what you did!
